Sailing
is now more popular than ever and this amazing sport is available
to you as a corporate event. Our corporate regatta events
are competitive yacht racing events designed to give participants
the experience of taking part in a professional sailing regatta.
Our races are designed for all ages and abilities and sailing
experience is not required.
Let
us create an event to show your employees or customers that
they are part of a team to be proud of. They will return to
the work place knowing more about each other, understanding
each other better and ultimately working together more effectively.

Regatta
Race Formats
From a two boat “America’s Cup” style
match racing event to a fleet of 30 yachts competing
in your own regatta, we have the experience, skill and
resources to organise an event that will exceed your
expectations ensuring an unforgettable day and a lasting
and positive memory of your company.
Our
regattas consist of a unique racing series incorporating
as many races as possible throughout the day to maximize
participation and fun competition amongst the guests
(delivering maximum value). Following a fun sailing
familiarization period the race courses will consist
of short windward/leeward marks (using our own moveable
race marks) to encourage close, exciting and competitive
racing. This format allows us to be exceptionally flexible
with the elements and any wind changes this also provides
maximum racing time.
We
would also recommend a gourmet packed lunch on board
the yachts so as to, again, increase participation time
for the guests. However, we can of course schedule a
lunch time stop at one of our fantastic harbourside
restaurants or yacht clubs for a hearty lunch before
returning to the water for the afternoon racing series.
Sydney
Harbour
Sydney Harbour plays host to the start of the most famous
and toughest offshore yachting race in the world, The
Rolex Sydney to Hobart. With the city situated on the
shore of the largest natural harbour in the world you
are within minutes of boarding your yachts. The protection
of North and South Head creates the perfect sailing
area for your corporate regatta. Whilst racing you will
have an opportunity to take in the spectacular views
that Sydney Harbour has to offer. Not to mention the
chance to drop anchor in one of the many bays to cool
off with a swim over your lunch time stop.
The
Yachts
EMG use a number of different types of yacht each individually
selected to suit your specific requirements. All are
commercially licensed, in excellent condition and are
high quality sailing yachts. For corporate regattas
we recommend the Beneteau First 40.7 or the Sydney 36.
The
Crew
One of the most important elements of the day is your
skipper and crew, EMG prides itself on the quality of
its staff and only uses hand selected and fully qualified
skippers and crew. All our staff are personable, well
presented, courteous and understand how to make your
day a real success. We operate with a minimum of a skipper
and one crew on each boat, this provides a higher level
of safety and comfort and really allows your crew to
get the most out of the day.
